2021 European Researchers’ Night

 

The European Researchers’ Night is a widely celebrated event in Europe in which the various science demonstrations and workshops are carried out in an inspiring way for citizens.

The purpose of the European Researchers’ Night which was held on 24 September 2021 is to

  • Introduce science to the public and increase the awareness,
  • Encourage superb projects throughout Europe and beyond,
  • Raise the interest of science and research careers in young generations,
  • Reveal that how big researchers’ impact is on daily lives.

 

GREEN NIGHT is a European Reserchers’ Night project funded by the European Commisson under HORIZON 2020 in the framework of the Marie Sklodowska Curie actions. GREEN NIGHT project was coordinated by Yaşar University; and Ege University, Izmir Institute of Technology, Izmir Katip Çelebi University and Izmir Provincial Directorate of National Education are partners in the project.

Alg-eating titled experiments was performed by SuChAQuality. Alg is a new trend and more environmentally friendly food.  High school students were introduced by what alg is and its applications in food industry. From the beginning of the how alg grows to how food including alg are made, all processes were demonstrated in hard-candy, cotton candy and ice – cream.
